James 1
- I wonder who these 12 Tribes are (James 1:1)
- Talks about we must be patient and joyous in peak predicaments, which links to 1 Thessalonions 5: 18 & Romans 12:12, where this creates room for our faith to be solidified (James 1:2-3)
- Love how God is so ready and open to pour wisdom to us, it's just that we have to be ready and make ourselves available (James 1:5)
- James 1:6, when you are praying to God, pray with faith and no doubt. God will not give you what you want if you pray with doubt.
- Tribulations are blessing. As we are courageous and stay strong (Joshua 1:9), God will reward his people for their endurance, as it is God against God during this phase.. and we gotta endurance it all without complaining (Philippians 2:14)
- Temptations: Devil engineered or agent engineered? Do we all have autonomy in all situations? Temptations only leads to UnGodly acts, which we must avoid, as we need to fearing Him (where that's the beginning of knowledge; Proverbs 1:7) and thus hate what it is (Proverbs 8:13)S
- We need to latch on onto wisdom as 'she' has counsel and sound judgement (Proverbs 8:14) and we need not to be mislead as stated in James 1:16
- James 1:19 is just a diamond, where I really love the fact that we need to be slow to anger as such anger doesn't birth righteousness and God doesn't desire so (James 1:20)
- MOst powerful in the whole book, James 1:22, BUt don't just listen to God's word, you must do what it says. Accentuates how we don't just have be listensters, and have to be doers, or else, it's pointless and we are not executing God's will for us.
