Brexit is a major political factor that is currently affecting most businesses and firms across the nation including my chosen retailer Morrisons. Brexit is a short was of saying the UK is leaving the EU, the Brexit is all about weather the UK should leave the European union. Staying in the EU has many advantages such as being part of a “single market”, which means that countries that are apart of the organisation can trade with one another, the counties would be getting cheaper deals off one another. The impact Brexit would be negative, an example could be tomatoes, as Morrisons buy their tomatoes from Spain because the weather conditions in the Uk are not suitable to be growing tomatoes but when the UK leaves the EU they wont be getting their usual deals and will be paying more for the same product.

Another major political factor that could have a great impact on Morrisons could be taxes, taxes is money that is taken out your profit to pay for government jobs and services such as hospitals parks ect. The disadvantage of taxes rising is that the company would have to pay more to the government loosing profit and if then they'd have to put their prices on their products up which would loose customers as they would find the same product for less in another store
