First I would like to say, it is with honor and great pleasure that I stand before you today. I proudly accept your nomination for me to be your president, and am prepared for the difficulties that may occur. I would like to thank my brother for always believing in me and Yale for giving me the ability to stand before you today. I am very proud of my fellow Americans and the progress we have made in just the past few years. We have done great, but as they say for every 2 steps forward you take one step back. While we have moved forward, there are some issues I would like to fix during my time in the White House if I were to make it.
Healthcare. These days it can get up to 9,000 for a family. If I were to make it to office, I would like to create a universal system that gives citizens basic health necessities that is also affordable.
Next education. Education should be under state control so that certain places can meet the specific needs of their region and population. I would also encourage schools to start at a later time. Students could still get the same amount of time in school, but start an hour later allowing them to get plenty rested for the day ahead.
Now income tax may not be a well known obstacle for much of America’s youth, but income tax for the average family is 30%. That means if parents combined make 160,000 dollars a year, they would end up having to give up 48,000 to income taxes. This should be lowered so that large families don’t have to struggle with meeting tight ends.
Our platform is immigration reform, more specifically the ability for immigrants to gain citizenship. Immigrants shouldn’t have to struggle for years trying to get a green card in a country where drugs, guns, and war is destroying people’s lives. We should make a better and more efficient system to get immigrants moved and settled into their new lives here in the United States.
