5 syarat / unsur serangan pada Shorinji Kempo.
- Kyu Sho : titik kelemahan.
Dalam kempo, ada sekitar 138 titik lemah yang harus diingat
Sangat menguntungkan bila kita bisa memasukkan serangan kita ke spot atau titik lemah tersebut.
- Ma Ai : jarak sasaran.
Jarak yang dimaksud di sini bukannya agar dapat terkena tetapi sasaran harus kena pada saat pukulan/tendangan mencapai titik optimumnya, dengan keadaan kuda-kuda yang terkuat. Untuk itu, setelah dirasa jarak cukup maka harus diperhitungkan gerak pundak, pinggul, dan sebagainya agar jarak tersebut tidak lepas lagi.
- Kaku Do : sudut serangan.
Setiap titik kelemahan memiliki sudut serangan berbeda-beda.
Serangan pertama dapat dilakukan pada 15 derajat, maka serangan lain bisa jadi berbeda.
- Shyoku Do : kecepatan serangan.
Lebih cepat serangan tersebut mengenai titik lemah, lebih baik. Contoh, lipatan kertas koran dapat memutuskan sumpit jika dilakukan dengan kecepatan tinggi.
- Kyo Jitsu : kebulatan tekad.
Kebulatan hati di sini mencakup kebulatan mental dan phsik, artinya siap lahir batin untuk melancarkan serangan.
