Selasa, 24 Oktober 2017 kemarin, Fakultas Hukum Universitas Merdeka (Unmer) Malang menugaskan Wika Yudha Shanty dan Riski Febria Nurita untuk menjalani kegiatan Pelatihan Metode Penelitian Hukum yang diselenggarakan oleh Departemen Dasar Ilmu Hukum Fakultas Hukum Universitas Airlangga.
Acara yang dimulai pukul 08.00 pagi tersebut mengundang Prof. Dr. Peter Marzuki, S.H., M.S.,LL.M. dan Mohammad Sumedi. S.H.,M.H. dilator belakangi oleh penelitian hokum yang sering diidentikkan dengan socio-legal research. Kedua hal tersebut sesungguhnya memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda. Kebenaran yang dicari dalam Penelitian Hukum adalah kebenaran koherensi sedangkan socio-legal research mencari kebenaran korespondensi yang merupakan ruang lingkup ilmu social. Oleh karena itu pelatihan kali ini sangat penting untuk para pengajar mencetak yuris dan mahasiswa hokum yang menulis karya akademis hokum.
Demi latar belakang tersebut, tujuan dari diadakannya pelatihan ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan dosen dan mahasiswa dalam memahami metode penelitian hokum dan menerapkan langkah-langkah penetapan judul penelitian.
Terkait tujuan tersebut, peserta yang diundang merupakan mahasiswa program magister dan doctoral serta dosen dari perguruan tinggi negri dan perguruan tinggi swasta se-Jawa Timur.
