ask client if he or she has any belongings that staff should know about
ask client to remove any removable clothes and belongings i e had spelt scarfs and shoes

if client is male
staff will reach around the top of client's chest, under client's arms, as if to hug client. staff will then rub staff hands down client's chest and stomach.
if client is female
ask client to lift the underside of her bra band and then run her fingers between the band and skin, around themselves.
ask clients to run their thumbs between their skin and top of their pants.
staff should watch as client moves from front to back.
starting with the top of a client's leg, encircle the client's body parts with your hands as you lightly rub run your hands down his or her body part. do this for both legs
ask client to remove his or her socks and to shake the sock out straight
thank the client for complying.
