It would positively affect students because its a life necessity. Student do need to learn how to manage their money, and how to manage a bank account. Too many young adults and teens are becoming broke because of this situation. In the passage it states that "Young people in economically challenged areas are often unemployed or underemployed." This is a valid reason on why young people can't manage their own money.

But on the other hand, kids could get easily bored in the class. There really isn't any point into trying to teach kids something and they don't understand the concept of it. If they were to involve a personal finance class, then they would have to find a way to make it interesting a fun. It would just be wasting everyone's time if teachers did teach the class. To me it sounds miserable to teach and to learn. In conclusion according to the passage I think it is a very bad idea to incorporate personal finance into high school classes.
