Speaking loudly to a child may cause them to feel scared and fear you. If the child does the activities wrong they must've not heard clearly because you spoke to quietly.
If the child is upset (because they dropped a cup of water onto someones lap) you wouldn't want your tone to be loud, this may make them more upset. You should speak softly, tone relatively quiet so they can feel better. Also watch out what you say.
