Issues:
1- Jobs In:
A- Sales Department:
- Lack of technical skills.
- Miscommunication.
B- Art Department :
- Can’t deliver “modern” web/mobile designs.
- Almost no communication or collaboration with developers.
C- Management:
- Not open to “new” ideas, tools, technologies.

2- Time:
A- Not following a “clear” development model or life cycle.
B- Assumptions and miscommunications.
C- Lack of understanding for the client’s business requirements, needs, and expectations.

3- Quality:
A- Trying to “impress” using a design only approach.
B- No user experience / user interaction design involved.
C- Just designing/building stuff, without fully understanding the goals, and purposes, or what we are trying to solve or achieve for the client.
D- Not being able to gather, understand, and evaluate the requirements needed, to create a tailored user centered design.
E- Not aware of the web/mobile design standard(s), and “trendy” deigns.
Solutions:
- Collaborate with other department, and work on building a common ground, based on understanding, and establish a planned design/development life cycle.
- Get feedback whether it was positive or negative. (Weekly or monthly) to monitor, and evaluate success and failures, to get an insight on how to improve and enhance our work.
- Fully understand technical opportunities and limitations.
- Understand the client’s needs, goals, and generate informed ideas and designs based on that.
- Collaborate with other departments on possible solutions.
- “Design to express, and not to impress”.
- Fill missing roles:
♣ User Experience / User Interaction Designer.
♣ Technical Sales.
♣ Product Manager
Obstacles:
- Cost of hiring new employees for the suggested roles.
- Finding the “best” candidate.
- Might take some time. to plan, and collaborate with other departments.
