India-Pakistan dispute over Kashmir

world. This helps it to develop because it has does not get involved in global conflicts

How is technology supporting development2
Swasthya Slate
Swasthya slate is a medical device and mobile phone app that can be
used to diagnose 33 medical conditions. Tests can examine
whether patients have HIV, malaria or are pregnant.
Swasthya Slate supports development by allowing nurses and
doctors to carry out health checks in rural areas of India without the
need for lots of expensive equipment. This provides benefits for many poorer
Indians in rural areas who would otherwise have to travel for long distances to get
medical care.

Smartphones for farmers
Smartphones have been increasingly used by farmers in India
to check weather forecasts, buy insurance for their crops or
check the prices of the crop they're growing. There are now
hundreds of apps available, and because many farmers cannot
read or write, pictures are sometimes used instead. Twice a
week the Indian Weather Forecasting Service sends out a
text with a weather forecast that is received by millions of farmers

This supports development because it enables farmers to grow their crops more
efficiently. It also means crop yields (the amount of crops they grow) will be higher,
which reduces the risk of food shortages in India
Biometric Identity Project
India's government has introduced a biometric identity project to help people access
public services. Each citizen receives a 12 digit number supported by a fingerprint and
iris (eye) scan. This supports development because it helps every person to access
services like banking. They can also use the number to buy gas and SIM cards for
mobile phones. The use of fingerprints and an iris scan makes it secure and safe to use.
