Topic: Write an essay (150 words) about a natural disaster that you witnessed.

I know a lot of natural disaster, but I have barely seen them in real life, except a flood I witnessed once in the middle of Vietnam, where people suffer from natual disaster the most in the country.
Floods usually occur in poor provinces in the middle area of the contry ( can be called as Mien Trung). Comparing to the flood can be seen sometimes in the city, the one in Mien Trung is worse. In those provinces, floods are so strong that house are flushed away easily. When I was there on the rainy days, it could be quite cold, the temperature would be approximately 22 degrees. As I remembered, the flood came with the storm as the same time. Strong as the flood, the storm caused wind that destroyed lots of trees and harvests, and it kept raining heavily ( in my opinion, it was twice or three time heavier than normal rains in the city). Because of the heavy storm and rain, it lasted for about a day. And while the storm was occuring, there was a lot of poor people, most of them hided inside their houses, but some of them were unlucky that they were flushed away or missing after the storm. In the end, lots of things were destroyed. The crop was lost, some unstable houses were collapsed, and rescuers were sent to find/help the peole who were in trouble.After the flood and the storm, I felt sorry for the people who lives in the province because they have to suffer the disaster every year. For me, I wasn’t affected much from the storm because I had a safe place to hide.
After witnessing the flood in the middle area, I feel so lucky to live in the city, where I’m mostly safe from natural disaster in Vietnam. I hope the government will support the people there more, like giving food, or fund to build stronger house, etc. In conclusion, the flood was a terrifying, but also a new experience in my life.
