From the data we have gathered, we can conclude that the different soil types and soil particle size affected the rate at which the water was able to flow into the soil. The soil types that had higher porosity and permeability allowed more water to flow through faster. The water was stored where it was because the layer below that was not permeable to that amount of water over that time. However, these results are not perfect because there were a lot of variables we could not control. For example, we could not have a uniform porosity and permeability throughout a layer, there were pockets of soil that were not uniform. There was also not a uniform way that the water was applied to the model and the speed of the water could have affected the results.
