we use the sandbox for many reasons but it comes in handy when trying to make an idea come alive the sandbox's functions are endless but our group decided to use it to map out where all the islands are to see where the water would flow which islands have the largest map for future infrastructre or growth
How we do it?
How the sandbox works is there is a mounting projector projecting the color and and x-box camera detecting the depth and the elevation of the sand therefor knowing where to project the water which we also have further control over. when we created the islands the x-box camera dectected the depth thus projecting the water
what does it do/why is it better?
sure drawing your city/village or whatever is nice but the sandbox helped make our islands come alive and its much funner too.
