She watched as Hadad walked back into his shed. From where she stood she could see everything inside. There are numerous swords aligned on the walls, some were small, some were sharper than others as though they were just forged, and lastly some were given more attention to detail.

But one seemed to catch her eye above all of the swords combined. Its head was a black almost lace kind of material and it's sheath was decorated with many roses and symbols that she did not recognize. From afar, she couldn't really see much detail but she could tell it was a one of kind sword.

Hadad came walking back to her, she noticed him sliding the beautiful sword in a bronze leather sheath. He sauntered over to her and held it out to her. With a gasp, she pondered her fingers over her bottom lip, "No-no I can't take this." Slowly backing away from the sword. Hadad remained still and kept the sword out for her to take.


She held the hilt with her right hand and her left hand behind the right hand about 4 cm apart. Thankfully, she paid attention to the lessons that Nadine and Nadia taught her for two days straight, which seemed like a lifetime to her. Wielding the sword freely and tenderly, she was radiating with harmony in her passive movements.

For a brief second, fear loomed up and overwhelmed her. Long porcelain arms plunge from the fountain and envelop her by her waist. Anahita screamed and whirled around. She gasped for air as her body, impaled in the beast's arms, sinking deeper into the water.

Cold, thick water raced up her throat and pooled in her mouth. Her hands struggled to move under the power of the whirlpool but eventually, her fingers wrap around the hilt of her sword and she pulls.

Anahita’s heart, once quickly beating was now slowing in pace, she broke the surface with a splash and released heavy breaths. Her arms took support on an edge of a spring, the cold pavement brought comfort to her hot skin as she lied face down on the pavement oblivious to her surroundings. Anahita blinks. Once. Twice. Then on the third, her eyes focus and take in all chaos going on.
