Hi, I am calling because a friend and I are worried about our close friend and suspect she may be being abused, not physically but emotionally. She texted my friend today very frantically saying that her parents were taking her phone for no reason and cutting off contact. We suspect that she may have attempted suicide, as we know she is often suicidal and are aware that she texted a crisis line last night. She also mentioned in the texts to my friend that she needed to go to the hospital, this is a big reason why we think she actually attempted, and that her mom refuses to take her. She said something about foster care, but the text was very frantic and difficult to understand. Another friend informed us that her mom recently dropped her off a block away from school and forced her to run. The friend has also mentioned to me her mom contributing to eating issues and body dismorphia by putting work out equipment in her room and commenting when she finally decides to eat saying things like "carbs on carbs make us fat".
