- Transfigurasi adalah salah satu cabang ilmu sihir yang paling rumit dan paling berbahaya. Diambil dari kata ‘transform’ yang berarti ‘mengubah’, transfigurasi berarti mengubah suatu bentuk ke bentuk yang lain.
- Spell adalah mantra yang diucapkan untuk melakukan transfigurasi

Efek dari vanishing spell adalah kebalikan dari mantra pengadaan , dimana objek yang di lenyapkan di teleportasi ke suatu tempat yang telah di tuju sebelumnya dan tentu saja benda –benda yang di lenyapkan juga mempengaruhi kesulitan dalam menerapkan nya, misal nya tikus dan siput, siput sebagai hewan invertebrata atau tidak bertulang belakang, tidak memberikan banyak tantanagan, sementara tikus, sebagai mamalia menawarkan tantangan yang jauh lebih besar
