Pokemon Typings. You either like the way its designed or you don't, and its designed very weirdly if you think about it. This blog will show some of the typings that don't seem right or should be added to them. Hello my cookies and today I am back with another blog that I was planning for a while. If you enjoyed this blog and want to see more of these, please smack that like button! Keep in mind that this is a top 5 but I'll also talk about types in this blog as well. Let's start!

Pokemon types have been around since gen 1 and are made up of 18 types. There are 8 gyms with 8 types in each gen, but all 17 types have been used for gyms. Types are used in many ways. It can describe what the Pokemon's surroundings should be, add moves to the Pokemon, and determines what Pokemon is stronger than another. So types are really important in the Pokemon World, but Game Freak was trying to make us confused by these Pokemon types.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[B]5. Psyduck
Which brings me to my first Pokemon, Psyduck. Psyduck is a pure water type Pokemon but in my opinion it should be a psychic as well. My first reason is that some of its Pokemon entries say that Psyduck HAS "psychokinetic"(Psychokinetic is an alleged psychic ability allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction) POWERS. Another small reason is that Psyduck has a lot of psychic powers by tms.

Red & Blue: "While lulling its enemies with its vacant look, this wily Pokémon will use psychokinetic powers."
Yellow: "Always tormented by headaches. It uses psychic powers, but it is not known if it intends to do so."

[B]4. Alolan Vulpix
Vulpix in gen 1 is a fire type that has updated a lot in Pokemon Sun & Moon like other Alolan remakes. Alolan Vulpix, however, is an ice type, which is weird. In the pokedex it states that it cools itself in the hot weather by making ice shards. But Vulpix was a bit of a ice type as well when it was born, according to Pokemon X, since it starts out as with a snow white tail. Not to mention that you can find both in Mount Lanakila but you can also find them in Tapu Village. Keep in mind that route 13 is to the right and Haina Desert is in the middle. Also I would expect Alola to be extremely hot in Sun (Also when its day in Moon), including deserts.

Moon: "In hot weather, this Pokémon makes ice shards with its six tails and sprays them around to cool itself off."
X: "When it is born, it has just one snow-white tail. The tail splits from its tip as it grows older."

[B]3. Alolan Geodude/Alolan Graveler
Geodude and Graveler in gen 1 are both rock and ground. Alolan Geodude and Alolan Graveler are rock AND electric. Now before you say, "Dar, are you really going to rely on Alolan Remakes and try to fill the top 5 up with them?", I say kinda (I still haven't picked all the Pokemon for the top 5 XD). I think that its weird that they made them both electric and they should have made them an "appropriate" type for where you can find them in battle.

The first reason is that some electric moves are weak to rock Pokemon. In season 1 episode 5 of Pokemon, you see Brock's Onix and Ash's Pikachu both battling. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt but the Onix doesn't look hurt, Brock then says that Ash used a weak move to try to attack a rock type. Another reason is that Graveler is in Po Town and there is no electricity in the place where Team Skull made their base.

[B]2. Alolan Exeggutor
Exeggutor is a gen 1 Pokemon that is a grass and psychic Pokemon. Alolan Exeggutor is grass and dragon type Pokemon. Wanna know why it's a dragon? Its because dragons have long necks and Alolan Exeggutor has a long neck. That's it. Alolan Exeggutor should have kept the psychic type since there wasn't that many reasons for it to be a dragon. It could be fighting since it knows Brick Break or dark but it doesn't really look like a dark, wouldn't that be cool tho. One more reason is that Alolan Exeggutor still has psychic moves in evolution like Psyshock and Confusion.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Insert Honorable Mentions Pic Here)

HM1: Alolan Rattata/Alolan Ratticate
Gen 1 Type(s): Normal
Alolan Type: Normal/Dark

Blurb: Had its form change would have not caused any change in the Pokemon but the abilities and color. Stats stay the same.

HM2: Alolan Marowak
Gen 1 Type: Ground
Alolan Type: Fire/Ghost

Blurb: It should not have fire type since the "flames" on the bone are a different color, like ghost. It is still a ground type so Ground and Ghost should be its type.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Alolan Ninetails
Ninetails is a gen 1 Pokemon that is a full fire type. Alolan Ninetails is an Ice and Fairy type. This will probably be a shorter one since you already saw Alolan Vulpix but Alolan Vulpix was a full ice type. I think there is no reason for Alolan Ninetails to be a Fairy type since there is nothing that makes it one. Keep in mind you have to evolve Alolan Vulpix to get an Alolan Ninetails, so you cant find it in any cold place. Does that mean its not an ice type? No, it only means that its blue fur speaks for itself.

Sun: "It creates drops of ice in its coat and showers them over its enemies. Anyone who angers it will be frozen stiff in an instant."
