Iblis Baal adalah dalam tradisi grimoire dikatakan dapat berwujud menyerupai bentuk seorang pria , kucing , katak , atau kombinasinya . Baal atau Bael atau dalam bahasa arabnya Ba'al az-Zubab, merupakan Raja Pertama Neraka yang juga menyimbolkan "kerakusan, ketamakan", dimana ia akan mengajak manusia untuk memilih-milih makanan, makan makanan yang mahal, banyak dan secara rakus.
Ia juga sering diasosiasikan dengan wujud sebagai Dewa Lalat dan keberadaannya dikatakan merupakan musibah bagi manusia dan surga sendiri. Hal ini mungkin disebabkan karena beberapa kisah mengatakan sebenarnya ia adalah identitas lain (jelmaan) dari Satan dan ia merupakan Raja Pertama dari Neraka yang mengajarkan ilmu menghilang.
