✔ Aikido adalah : seni beladiri yg mempunyai akar pertumbuhan dan buda dari jepang. Aikido dikembangkan oleh Morihei Ueshiba sekitar tahun 1800-an 植芝 盛平 Ueshiba Morihei.Dengan bakat yang begitu besar, Morihei Ueshiba telah menyebarkan muridnya ke seluruh dunia untuk memperkenalkan keindahan ilmu seni beladiri aikido ini. Saat ini aikido telah berkembang sekurangnya ke 93 negara di Asia, Eropa, Amerika, Australia dan sebagian Afrika.
✔ Sejarah Aikido : Aikido diformulasikan sejak akhir 1920-an sampai dengan 1930-an hingga pada bentuknya yang sekarang oleh Morihei Ueshiba 14 Desember 1883-26 April 1969, Ueshiba memperkaya dan mengembangkan Aikido dengan berbagai koryu seni beladiri-seni pedang lama selain "basis"nya Daito ryu, menjadi suatu seni beladiri yang unik. Ueshiba menginginkan Aikido tidak hanya sebagai sebuah seni beladiri, tetapi juga ekspresi falsafah pribadinya yang bersifat damai dan universal. Ueshiba meninggal pada tanggal 26 April 1969 karena penyakit kanker.
