Gangguan kepribadian ganda adalah kondisi di mana terdapat dua atau lebih kepribadian yang berbeda di dalam satu tubuh. Kepribadian ganda dikenal dengan sebutan Gangguan Identitas Disosiatif (Dissociative Identity Disorder).
Tanda2 kepribadian ganda :
- masing2 dari dua atau lebih kepribadian pada gangguan kepribadian ganda memiliki identitas berbeda satu sama lain
- setiap kepribadian berbeda dalam hal jenis, pola perilaku, berbicara, usia, ras , dsb
- sering berada disuatu tempat tapi tak ingat alasan mengapa dia berada ditempat itu
- mengalami penyimpangan ingatan
- sering merasa sedih dan merasa tdk berharga
- adanya kecendrungan bunuh diri
Ada satu kepribadian yang kuat dan biasanya mendominasi dari semua kepribadian lainnya. Contohnya krakter Vicky di novel sybil. Penyebab munculnya gangguan ini ialah di karenakan, pengalaman masa lalu seperti korban kekerasan, pelecehan seksual, dan juga bulliying.
Terapi yg akan dijalani oleh penderita akan berfokus agar penderita nyaman berhubungan dengan orang lain dan mencengah melukai dirinya
