Well the first question that comes up in my mind
Is glowfly merging with us or are we merging with you guys? :o
I know it's just talking but if it happens, which would it be?

Yea, it's alright. Don't have any apprehensions about asking me questions or etc. Quite honestly I would like to keep the Glowfly brand because of all the work that me and other people have put into making it, but with that being said we're currently talking about rebranding from Glowfly Exchange to something along the lines of Glowfly Ventures. We're contemplating and want to move towards a more adventuring base and front with an in house merchantry type of deal, potentially opening it up to people who a bit more morally grey (within reason) as well. So to answer that question more directly it'd be you guys merging with us but i'm not against it the other way around should it be appealing and my people agree with it!

So, straight up I think the answer is going to be no for several reasons for us merging with you. We love our concept and don't really want to change it -much-, don't get me wrong there's more than enough room for merchants and such (we have Sehk whose a merchant that is affliated with them, Hikari doesn't pay him but Hikari throws work at him since he makes armor.) The other thing is our rules. They aren't complicated but we spent hours talking about what we liked from other FC's and stuff and implemented that (we vote to see who stays in the fc after a trail period so everyone has a voice for example.) And if we moved a whole heck of a lot of that would change you know?
It's probably going to be no on your end and I'd understand, we both have things we like about our fc's that we wouldn't want to lose tbh. :X I knew that when you mentioned it awhile ago it might be very iffy

There's nothing wrong with anything that you just said! Intact its too be expected rather. Concept wise Glowfly is changing and I thought it'd be a good time to poke you about the idea is all. Coupled with the fact that community involvement is something that's a really attractive aspect that id love to be part of with both of our groups. So with the concept thing aside, can you tell me more about your rules? Cause from the sound of it we have the same system for new applicants.

So when you apply we have an application that's not very long, just some questions that can be answered in a sentence. We have an rp section that requires a long response more so we can know the character, esp for those who haven't met them before.

After that the person is on trial for 1month. Everyone in the FC can vote on them but only if they've interacted with the person in rp at least once or twice. Yes, No or Defer. Defer meaning wait 15 more days because people either didn't rp with them, or they had a bad vibe or what have you.

Voting isn't to be talked about outside the forum. It's a kickable offense if you say or repeat anything in that persons voting thread. Once the vote is up the thread is moved to a locked/archieved area of the forum only officers can see.
GENERAL:

A) Meta-gaming, godmoding and mixing IC and OOC is not allowed. We take this very seriously to ensure the enjoyment of others in the FC.

B) Discrimination will not be tolerated, with no exceptions.

C) To add an event or start an event of your own talk to an officer and mark it on the calendar. Please keep these contained to a reasonable amount of time so as not to overlap into anybody else’s plot. Also, on the application please be sure to say ‘knowledge seeks no man’.

D) There will be mature themes within reason. Any sexual rp should be taken to a private setting and the ls and discord servers should be kept at a “PG-13” rating at all times.
1. This a primarily ‘adult’ FC, so if something is upsetting you that does not violate other rules (IC prejudice (many Wildwoods are like this in lore), coarse language, moderate sexual themes, etc.) it is up to you to OOCly ask people to stop and/or to censor yourself.
People are not obligated to stop a possibly already discussed scene that does not break the rules just for your sake alone, please keep this in mind.

E) This community encourages giving, trading, and participating. So if you wish for something- be prepared to give back in return.

F) We will not reimburse anyone for rooms bought or gil donated or spent on the FC. We strongly advise that any Trial member to not buy a room until they are promoted to member.

Alexia says we shouldn't say no just offhandedly but I don't think I want to give up being a gm. I've been with too many bad ones and I want to succeed and prove that I'm a good one. That's probably the bottom line, it's not like I don't trust you or anything Tachi cause I do I think you're pretty swell. On the other hand if you guys wanted to merge with us we'd try to make things as smooth as possible and try to get you to keep the glowfly name, and make one of you guys an officer or more if it was warrented.
Also don't be afraid to shoot questions at me either, I'm pretty open and honest about things imo.

VOTING:

When you enter the FC you are a recruit for a month. In this time period we’re giving your future FC mates a chance to interact with you and see if the recruit is a good fit for the company.

1. Voting will not be discussed outside the thread period. Breaking of this rule will be a guild kick.
a. Once the person is off trial and allowed to see the voting sections, the thread for the vote for that person will be removed before they have access.
2. People may vote and say how they voted in the comments along with their vote, this is the only exception to the above rule.
3. Votes will either be yes, no or defer 15 days. Deferring means we will give the recruit an extra 15 days to try and sort out some problems. No other extra days will be added.
4. You are only allowed to vote after interacting with this person several times either IC or OOC.

Okay, so our application process is more or less the same, as is the general layouy of the rules if everything that i'm reading here is accurate. Except our trial period is 3 weeks instead of 1 month, but as me and other officers have come to find out in our time, slow recruitment is best recruitment so everything that I see here is 200% A-Okay with me and im sure it would be with my other players/officers as well. Though the knowledge seeks no man bit is rather interesting. Engaging even. It encourages proactivity amongst your members and thats something that i'm extremely fond of.

I certainly don't want you to say no offhandedly either, but I totally understand what you mean when you say you don't want to give up being a GM. I've been in a handful of FC's myself and each time it's made me go "I want to be in charge so I can do things right and fairly to make people happy." It's also the first bit of housing that i've come to own on Balmung which is more or less in itself a miracle. But at the same time I don't think it's all that important as long as the RP is fun and engaging.

Since we're still talking about this on an administrative level, let me give my other officer a poke as well to see what they think about everything thus far.
