The differences between the "girl's life" and "boy's life" magazines is that the boy's magazine has technology and science topics and talks about how to help with your future job. Meanwhile the girls magazine only talks about the recent drama with stars and fashion related things likes the "dream hair" and how to get the best looking clothes. I think these differences exist because people think that this is what girls are really into reading when that's not always true. Of course it doesn't mean that a girl isn't allowed to read the boy's magazine but I still feel like there shouldn't be any stereotypical magazines like this. They should only make magazines that people really want to know about and that aren't made for a specific gender. I don't like that there are magazines like this because it is basically saying that girls are supposed to like these kinds of topics when they can do whatever they want. This is really bad on the social impact because it probably makes girls feel like they are supposed to like this and if they don't they aren't normal. This also applies to any boys that would want to go into fashion because they would see these magazines and think that only girls are supposed to do that. So I think that all the magazines are doing is enforcing stereotypes and telling people they should be only doing this and like this. Another reason this would have a strong social impact is because when people try to hire more employees, they usually look for someone that is up for the job. Let's say as an example that a rocket making company wants to find new engineers and there is a girl that signs up for the job. It is perfectly normal for a girl to do this but maybe the employer might feel like she wouldn't know much about making rockets because she should be into fashion and not rocket science.
