"BUMPS" = permanent scar tissue lumps from catching the piercing/fidgeting and they last 3days - 2 weeks
Do not wear STERLING SILVER (leaves permanent black coloring) or plastic in a new or healing piercing!
SALINE solution not alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
Avoid swimming pools, HOT TUBS, and swimming in the ocean during the healing period.
SWEAT can irritate piercings, be sure to rinse or wash off your face when you get done working out.

If it's a new nose piercing, and the jewelry has sunken in or one end has vanished inside it, it means your piercer did a bad job.
Days later: more redness+more tenderness/pain+more swelling+discharge that is yellowish/greenish in color= INFECTION
