Words matter with search engines
Could use the library database or online sources
Sources online – general search online, college database, library, Google scholar
Take note of synonyms and antonyms
Sources for finding key words – article title, table of contents, subject heading, index
ProQuest is a good general base to begin
Videos are the most dynamic (remember to cite them)
Primary Sources
Are documents or objects written or created at the time of the event
Are characterized by their content, regardless of format
Examples – interviews, autobiographies, government documents, eye witness accounts, speeches, photos, artifacts (ex. Pottery)
Limit your search by domain, site - .gov, .edu, scholar.google.com
Wikipedia – scroll to bottom for references (do not Wikipedia for paper)
