Survival adalah upaya untuk bertahan hidup dan keluar dari keadaan yang kritis atau sulit. Survival berasal dari bahasa inggris survive atau to survive yang artinya bertahan hidup. Hal ini berkaitan dengan keadaan darurat seseorang/sekelompok orang (survivor) yang terisolasi akibat suatu kecelakaan atau musibah. Seperti terdampar di pulau, jatuh dari pesawat dan mendarat di tempat asing ehingga kesulitan untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang luar dan sukar mencari bantuan.
:: 8 Prinsip Survivor ::
1. Size Up the Situaton , pandai menilai situasi.
2. Undue haste make taste, tidak tergesa-gesa.
3. Remember where you are, ingat posisi. baik lingkungan/diri
4. Vanquish fear and panic. kuasai diri agar tidak takut dan panik
5. Improvise. Perbaiki diri dari kesulitan
6. Value living, menghargai kehidupan.
7. Act like the native, sesuaikan diri dengan masyarakat sekitar.
8. Learn basic skill, mempelajari dasar-dasar mengenai alam bebas.
