Jenis transfigurasi ada 5, yaitu:
1. Transformation (Mengubah ke bentuk lain)
2. Switching (menukar bentuk antar kedua benda)
3. Vanishment (menghilangkan)
4. Conjuration (memunculkan sebuah objek)
5. Untransfiguration (mengembalikan objek seperti semula)
Transformation ada sub-nya yaitu:
Transformation > trans-species transformation > human transfiguration
Trans-species transformation berarti dia mengubah sesuatu ke makhluk lainnya. Misalnya kelinci jadi burung. Kalau human transfiguration ya mengubah fitur-fitur pada manusia menjadi bentuk lain baik sebagian maupun seluruhnya.
contoh spell : Vera Verto (dapat mengubah burung menjadi gelas/cangkir)
