If there was one thing you could change about this school, what would it be? Good morning students, teachers, faculty, and staff. For all of you that doesn't know me, my name is Sofia Chen, I'm in the 5th grade, and I'm running for president of the student council. I've been here in Summers Elemantary for 6 years, including this year. Every year when I came back, I definetly see the changes there are. I've been in Student Council for 3 years. This year, as a fifth grade student, I would like to be represented to be the president of the school. There are 3 main reasons why you should vote for me as your school president.
First of all, I'm a hard worker, positive thinker, always on task, on time, responsible, and I'm also honest. By honest I mean that I wouldn't make any promise that I can't keep. Last year, I was helping out my teacher at math, which means I have leadership skills. I've been an "A" honor student for continuously 4 years, which means that I have the responsibility to be your president. Second, I WILL attempt ALL meetings and I WILL complete ALL assigned work. I can PROMISE you that ALL of your voices would be heard. Any one have any ideas? Well, when you have an idea, you let me know, and I'll do my best to make it happen. Third, as all of you should know by now, I'm in 5th grade, which means that this is my last year here at Summers Elemantary. If you vote for me, I WILL make this year an unforgettable year.
I know that we need to prevent students from getting hurt more often, and improve our test grades. But how? We can replace other activities in which the students might get hurt on more often. But that doesn't mean you have less fun. To improve our test grades, we could start a tutoring program for students that doesn't understand certain subjects.
With my past experience and passion, I believe that I could be a great leader. As John Maxwell says,"Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others." I promise to do my best to prevent students from getting hurt, increase student interest in school, and increase overall academic achievement. I may not be the best candidate, but I can guarantee you that I got the motivation, the energy, and the compassion to serve you all. Lastly, my name is Sofia Chen, and I hope that you'll consider me as your next president representative!
