Sadio Mane was born in Senegal. He started his football career at Senegal Football Academy. He got scouted by a French club called Metz when he was 19. His first appearance fr them was when he was subbed on for Kevin Diaz in the 75th minute of the game against another french team called Bastia in the French Ligue 2. He was 20 at the time. That season, he made 19 appearances for Metz. 12 of those games he started. He scored 1 goal that season. It was in a 5-2 loss against Guingamp at home in the league. Sadly, at the end of the season, Metz were relegated from Ligue 2. In the summer, Mane signed for Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg for 4 million euros. On the 31st of October, Mane scored his first hat-trick for them. It was away against Kalsdorf in the Austrian Cup. They won the game 3-1. He scored his first hat-trick in the Austrian League against Grodig on the 27th of October in 2013. He scored another 3 on the 7th of May in the cup semi final against Horn.
