Fifth Avenue is one of the most popular and best known street in whole world. It is because there is a lot of big and expensive shopping places. This place is also known for many historical, cultural and national landmarks wisited by people from other countries.
You can find 5th Avenue in New York, in Manhattan island near the Central Park. This street is 10km long.
Central Park
As I mentioned earlier, 5th Ave pulls along the Central Park.
CP is the most popular and the most visited green area in the United States. 25 milions people visit thes place per year.
Like many other parks, CP is perfect place for studying, doing sports, realxing, spending time with family and friends.
CP was opened in 1859.
Most of the parts of the park looks natural, the truth looks different - park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.
From 1963 this park is a member of UNESCO.
Rockeffeler Center
RC is a complex of 19 commercial buildings, built by Rockeffelrs family. It is actuely the largest private building project. Creator of this idea was John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
Today RC is part of national historical landmark. This area is best known for her christmas decoration like big christmas tree over the Prometheus Statue.
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Another historical landmark is Cathedral od Saint Patrick. This church stands close to Rockeffeer center and was built in neo-gothic and roman style.
It was built by Francis Pope IX., as the replacement od Old Saint Patrick Cathedrale in Manhattan. In the year 1914 there was a bomb in the middle of church time, but only asked for one victim. I know, this part is the most exciting.

As I said, Fifth Avenue is full of beautifu landmarks and views. There are other of them.
