P1:In some kitchens cooked on stove heated by coal or wood ,fire
Stove heat room and cook meals.
Most had gas cooker
Some had electric cooke

People went shopping most days / fresh food
To keep flies away from meat put meat in cupboard called meat safe
Bread in bread bin
Biscuits in tin
Families ate some tinned food Such as tinned meat ,peas +baked beans
Hardly ever ate frozen Food
P3:Only buy fresh picked fruit in Devon apples and pears
Fruit had to be shipped over Like bananas
Many ships had sunk and needed them for resources such as oil and guns.
Listening to the radio!
P4:Almost every home had radio or wireless
Most radios had a case of Bakelite a type of plastic.
In Britain all programmes came from the bbc
People listened to the radio read the newspapers to find out was happening in the war
P5:The bbc also did the news in foreign languages
People in france and other occupied countries listened to it in secret
If the nazis caught them they would be punished.
P6:the radio did not tell all the news
There was comedy shows,talks,Plays and sports
Lively music kept tired workers awake
