Merlin
Merlin, sebagaimana yang kita tahu, adalah penyihir terkenal sepanjang masa. Ia adalah spesialis mantra yang dikenal sebagai ‘The Prince of Enchanters’ dan merupakan salah satu penasihat Raja Arthur yang dulunya adalah seorang pemimpin kerajaan yang sekarang menjadi bagian dari Inggris. Merlin dulu juga merupakan murid di Hogwarts dan tinggal di Asrama Slytherin
Merlin percaya bahwa kaum penyihir harus bahu-membahu dengan para Muggle. Ia mendirikan Order of Merlin, di mana badan atau organisasi penyihir ini dimaksudkan untuk mendukung hukum sihir yang melindungi dan bermanfaat bagi Muggle.
Muggle juga menganggap Merlin sebagai penyihir dalam legenda Raja Arthur. Dalam sejarah yang diketahui secara terbatas dan parsial oleh Muggle, Muggle Geoffrey of Monmouth menulis bahwa Merlin adalah putra seorang biarawati dan cucu lelaki Raja Dementia di selatan Wales. Geoffrey menulis sebuah buku tentang Raja Arthur yaitu Sejarah Para Raja Inggris atau Historia Regum Britanniae.
