It is located in middle-east Europe,in Slovakia.
City itself isn't that young as the other big cities in Slovakia.
The Košice's coat of arms ( erb) are the oldest ones in Europe.
With the city's population consisting of 240,000 people,it is the second biggest city in Slovakia,only behind the capital Bratislava.
The first written reference to the Hungarian town of Košice (as the royal village – Villa Cassa) comes from 1230,when some people created small village close to the river Hornád.
From 1230 to 1918,the city was under Hungarian monarchy,from 1918 to 1938,the city belonged( neviem či belong alebo belonged,spýtaj sa niekoho v škole jak to má byť) to the Czecho-Slovakia,when the Second World War started,the city returned to Hungarians,and in 1945 it was returned back to Czecho-slovaks. In 1993,Czecho-Slovakia split into a two ( Czech Republic,Slovakia) different countries,Slovakia was the one to take the city,because of its geographical location.
Enough of the history,let's talk about modern Košice.
City consisting of over 200km(štvorcových) has many parts called for example : Terasa,Dargovských Hrdinov,Nad Jazerom,KVP etc.
Im living in the part of city called KVP.
It has to be one of the most beautiful parts of the city,if not the most beautiful at all.
Located north-west,KVP has the very nice scenery and a nature all over it.
The thing I like about the Košice the most must be a monuments and a historical centre of city called Hlavná ulica.
It is very unique part of the city,where almost all the people hang out,go the café,kebab and many many other places,even I do :D
If u asked me,what hesitates me the most about Košice,it would be the part of the city called Luník 9,which is next to my hometown,it is full of bad people,thiefs,but most likely the gipsies.
If it wasnt Luník 9,maybe the road system of Košice,there are too many cars for little roads in the city. Many times,the Public Transport has delays because of it.
I like the city as much as I can,i wouldn't change it forever.
That's it,my opinion on my hometown,i hope people that are going like and enjoy the story. :)
