* Standard form - U.S - Regular Number
* Standard form - UK - Scientific Notation
Example: 425,000,000 = 4.25 x 10 = 10^8
Example 2: 0.00327 (Strategy = Move the decimal to the right until there is one hole# digit is to the left of the decimal.

Exceptions: Aff = Toujours, Souvent, Ruelquefois--- neg = ne...jamais ------ aff = Encore -- neg = ne...plus ------- aff = Tout quelque chose - neg= Ne...rien ----- aff = Tout le monde quelqu ' un -- neg = ne...personne

*Mettez las phrases suiantes à la forma negative:

Answers = correction

Objective: Multiplying & Dividing w/ scientific notation

1 * Follow procedure / Law of exponents for multiplying or dividing exponents
- When multiplying - Add exponents
- When dividing - Subtract exponents

2 * Must also multiply / Divide the base numbers
- This might affect the decimal placement.
* Replace the decimal and adjust the exponent accordingly.

* See example #1 in textbook Pg, 60
