Spotify is a digital music streaming service that gives you access to millions of songs, podcasts and videos from artists all over the world.
Why should we use it?
- US Streams count for Billboard HOT 100;
- Streams count for Billboard 200 (1,500 streams = 1 album sale);
- It can help with the charts in various coutries;
- Songs with a lot of streams are usually added to Spotify´s main playlists, helping it gain even more visibillity;
How to use it?
BASICS

(1) Download app on playstore
(2) Sign-up
(3) Choose a subscription level. We'd recommend going for Spotify Premium as it gives you access to more features and it will make streaming easier. But there is is no problem if you can´t!
(4) Play the title song or any other song that is doing the best in charts. You can just play the song individually or use a playlist.
Notes:
- If you don´t have Premium and can only use your phone to stream look for a link of the song and click in it so you can play it. You can also use playlists or just play the album even if it´s random (some songs that aren´t included in the playlist/album may be played but the songs you want to play will eventually appear, but just do it if you don´t have another option for streaming);
- During comeback season there will be a lot of playlists for streaming and you can use one of those but if you are going to make one by yourself add the title track as much time as possible, intercalating with other songs from the album, but don´t make huge gaps between them (something like this: 5 "title track" + song 1 + 6 "title track" + song 2 + 4 "title track" + song 3 + 7 "title track" + song 4...);
- Always play the full song;
- If you also have a desktop, it´s prefirable to use it since streaming is much easier especially for non-premium accounts. (You can check the turorial for desktop next).

STREAMING WITH US VPN
US and Puerto Rico streams are the only ones that count towards Billboard HOT 100. And VPN may be a way for non-USA citizens to help BTS with Bilboard HOT 100.
