1. Corrie hartong : "seni tari adalah sebagai gerakkan badan yang diberikan nuansa ritmis dan dilakukan dalam suatu ruang." jadi maksudnya semua gerakan yang di lakukan akan di katakan tarian apabila memiliki ritmis
Soeharsono : " seni tari adalah sebagai ekspresif jiwa manusia dalam gerakkan yang indah dan ritmis." maksudnya, seni tari adalah suatu cara seseorang untuk mengekspresikan diri mereka melalui gerakan yang indah dan ritmis
