Bowtruckle merupakan pemakan serangga, khususnya kutu kayu dan telur peri yang merupakan makanan kesukaannya.
Fakta Bowtruckle:
1. Makhluk pecinta damai dan sangat pemalu.
2. Bila pohon tempatnya tinggal di ganggu, ia akan menerkam si penebang kayu yang mencoba membahayakan rumahnya dan mencungkil matanya dengan jari-jarinya yang tajam.
3. Sekelompok Bowtruckle disebut cabang (Branch).
4. Bowtruckle bisa mengambil kunci.
5. Bowtruckle mengeluarkan suara seperti mengoceh.
Pohon-pohon yang ditinggali Bowtruckle merupakan pohon berkualitas tinggi untuk dijadikan bahan pembuat tongkat terutama winggentree: rowan.
