Resolution is the process of breaking something down into small parts, for example, the lower the resolution of a picture, the more pixelated. When something is magnified, it doesn't necessarily get more pixelated, but enhances the size of the picture.
The two types of electron microscopes are transmission electron microscopes, and scanning electron microscopes. A TEM consists of a tube that is about two meters long with a vacuum inside. There is no gases inside of where you place the item you intend to observe. That is because molecules in gas absorb electrons. The difference between the two microscopes is that a scanning electron microscope has a scanning coil, while a transmission electron microscope does not. (idk what they mean by images they produce so you gotta write that yourself)
Cell stains are used to make samples more visible under a microscope.
The disadvantages of using a light microscope are: lower magnification, poorer surface view of the specimen you want to observe, and limited resolution. The advantages are: They are cheaper, and easier to use than electron microscopes. They are also lightweight and small, so they're easier to carry around.
The disadvantages of an electron microscope are: they're a lot more expensive, a lot bigger, and harder to figure out than light microscopes.
The advantages are that they have excellent magnification, resolution, and have a good surface view of the specimen, which is essentially the opposite of the light microscopes disadvantages.
