Satwa gaib golongan beast. Kneazle aslinya dikembangbiakkan di Inggris, meskipun sekarang diekspor ke seluruh dunia.
Mahluk ini mirip kucing dengan buli berbintik-bintik, bertotol-totol, atau berbercak-bercak. Telinga berukuran besar dan ekor seperti ekor singa. Mereka cerdas, mandiri, dan kadang agresif. Karena keagresian terhadap orang tertentu, Kementrian Sihir menetapkan Kneazle berada di KKM XXX jika mereka tidak kawin silang dengan spesies lain.
Meski demikian, bila mereka menyukai seorang penyihir, hewan ini bisa jadi binatang peliharaan yang hebat.
Kneazle mempunyai kemampuan aneh mendeteksi sifat buruk atau curiga dan dapat diandalkan untuk menunjukkan jalan pulang bagi pemiliknya yang tersesat.
Kneazle bisa melahirkan sampai delapan anak dan bisa kawin dengan kucing. Pemilik Kneazle harus mempunyai surat izin (seperti Crup dan Fwooper) karena penampilan Kneazle cukup luar biasa untuk menarik perhatian Muggle.
Kumis Kneazle dapat digunakan sebagai inti tongkat meskipun akan menghasilkan tongkat kualitas rendah bila dibandingkan dengan rambut-rambut Unicorn, bulu Phoenix dan pembuluh jantung naga.
