n - size of your input

Types of Os.
Constant - Key thing to look: No loops, no recursion. does not change. Get the middle of the array =>Get the length of the array / 2. Takes the exact same amount of time.
log(n) - Key thing to look : Loop, each time you throw away half of the data without looking at it. Any log base just be converted. Binary Search. Normally logBase2. But it doesn't matter.
Linear - Most common one . Find the sum of all elements of the array. Loop over the whole thing fixed amount of times. Commonly 1 or 2.
N log(n) - Key thing: Key example: sorting. N times log(n). example.
Polynomial - N raised to some fixed power. integer powers. n^2 n^3.
big o - times guaranteed to equal less to n^2 times some constant. Normally care about if you run a function if it takes less then n^2.
When's the guarantee of when its gonna finish.
Might run it but get lucky, the guanrateed. Plan around n^2
Big Omega - it's guanrateed to this big or higher. this problem is omega n^2 no matter what you do to solve it. it's guanrateed, to take n^2 or higher. No one uses Omega. Just to learn about this.
