Henry the 8th is not like his father in the way that he has many skills that would make him a good king. He needs to have an heir with his wife Catherine of Aragon. She keeps getting pregnant but she is unable to conceive and when she did it was a female meaning back then she couldn't take the heir. Up until now he is loyal to her but has a child with a mistress who will be born illegitimately and cannot take the heir. He needs a new wife but cant kill her off because she is still the wealthy princess of Spain. He is catholic so no divorce either. He can get the marriage annulled but this would bring illegitimacy his own daughter. Due to lack of knowledge in genetics he thinks that since Anne Boleyn has had a male child and that means that she will give him a male child. Tries to make his wife lie and say that her first marriage was in fact real meaning his was not. He then annuls his own marriage, breaks from the catholic church, marries Anne and has another Female meaning he is back where he started without his first wife who he then imprisoned. He is still trying to have a boy so he can maintain his families power through his son. He then gets her pregnant again and had a boy who dies after birth. He realizes he doesn't like his new wife and is not constrained to her through power or anything. He sets her up by accusing her of cheating on him and she is executed.
