Hey guys! I'm Emily and among the numerous things that I loved to stress about during my high school years, I often loved to worry about the events that were going on my community. From big events like planning the frosh-soph fencing competition to planning simple vacations to Orlando for my family, I liked to know that the people around me were having good experiences. Even when I was planning what places to go with my friends in Disney during our senior trip, I made sure that all reservations and routes and budgeting were arranged ahead of time so that we could enjoy the trip to the fullest. Sure I lost more sleep over that plan than over studying for any test last year but it was well worth it. Bigger events like the frosh-soph fencing competition that involved students from all grades and multiple schools required my collaboration with other team members and students from schools I never heard of. Even though I was not able to carry all of the stress and planning on my own shoulders this time, working with others provided insight on areas I had not thought about before and that is what really made the whole event such a success. So if you not only want to have an amazing experience at Weinstein this year but also want to know that these experiences will be stress free, vote for me for your WHAT director of events!
