Prosa:
merupakan aktifitas penyebaran (mendispersi) ide atau gagasan dalam bentuk uraian, bahkan kadang-kadang sampai merenik.
merupakan pengungkapan gagasan yang bersifat epis atau naratif.
pada umumnya bermakna denotasi, walaupun kadang ada karya yang isinya konotatif.

Gempa Bumi
Telah terjadi gempa bumi di daerah Surabaya, Jawa Timur dini hari tadi. Kejadian ini menimbulkan kepanikan bagi warga di sekitarnya yang sedang tertidur lelap. Tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kejadian ini tetapi beberapa rumah warga mengalami keretakan di dinding rumahnya.
