Ajax had veel eerder moeten anticiperen, want iedereen wist dat dit zou gaan gebeuren. Nu zit je kort voor de deadline met een probleem dat eigenlijk niet adequaat opgelost kan worden. Ajax had vol voor Maher moeten gaan en zeker niet zo vroeg moeten afhaken, daardoor kreeg PSV hem eigenlijk in de schoot geworpen. Als Ajax nu iemand gaat halen vraagt de verkopende club natuurlijk meteen een paar miljoen extra. Dan zit je dus met een te dure speler die bovendien pas rond de winterstop gewend en ingespeeld is. Wat mij betreft halen ze dus niemand, maar lossen ze het intern op met bijvoorbeeld Serero of Schone. Het is niet ideaal, maar ik geloof niet dat bijvoorbeeld Duarte (waar Heracles sowieso 4+ miljoen voor gaat vragen) het beter gaat doen. Wat mij betreft moet Ajax het tot aan de winterstop maar even aankijken en dan iets doordachter de markt op gaan. Met een beetje geluk wil Chelsea misschien wel van Ginkel verhuren in januari, misschien is dat nog wel de beste optie.
