Incredibly over the top, captured peoples thoughts that the US government was too indecisive.
PLATOON series
1. Directed by a Vietnam veteran
Much more focused on horrors of War, men killed in suicide attacks, men driven to insanity and killing comrades etc. Much more critical acclaim - Some people say this does not give enough perspective for Vietnamese.
Actors had to go through boot-camp, many veterans say it is one of the most accurate depictions of wartime
2. One man goes to be a marine in Vietnam, is wounded, paralysed and spends time in a war hospital (portrayed abhorrently) and is permanently wheelchair bound. He also suffers from PTSD and struggles to adjust to American life.

3. Set from a Vietnamese perspective: Young girls life is ruined by the war, tortured, raped, etc. before moving ''to America with a US soldier, who becomes violent following the war and eventually commits suicide.
Some say these films should not be Rated-R, so that younger people really know what war is before they sign up.
