I do understand that the big bang addresses the history of the universe rather than the origin. However, extrapolating the data of the big bang reveals that there is no way the singularity of the big bang could just be eternal forever and only expand fourteen billion years ago because the singularity would have to undergo an infinite sequence of events before getting to the big bang meaning it would never get to it due to being stuck in infinity (infinite regress). It could not have come naturally like by quantum mechanics since that would be a catch 22 (check OP). and it can not come from nothing since that makes no sense and it would be impossible to explain in the face of the necessary laws of logic. For example, where did the singularity come from if there was no space? How long did it take to create this singularity if there was no time? What did it come from if there was no matter or energy? The only logical explanation is a transcendental and therefore supernatural (outside / independent of the universe and of nature) cause much like God.
