The scenery of the sparkling ocean surrounding Vespucci Beach had always been incredibly beautiful to Michael. He barely used his boat, but ever since Jimmy had got it scammed from him, he'd missed it terribly.

So, like any other person would, obviously, he bought a new boat. Impulse buying, of course. Ever since the trio had pulled off The Big One, Michael had been rolling in it anyway— so what was the harm in treating himself sometimes?

Michael woke up to the buzzing of his phone on his bedside table. His clock showed 9 AM, which he found very strange, because Amanda never woke up that early and she wasn't laying next to him.

Michael rubbed his eyes and reached over to grab his phone. He squinted when he turned it on, as it had been on full brightness. There had been 4 texts, time received ranging from 1 hour ago to 2 minutes ago. Michael sighed.

Trevor. He swiped one of the texts away. When he unlocked his phone, the messaging app opened automatically. Fuck. Now Trevor would notice that Michael had seen his texts. Now he had no choice but to answer. Not that he didn't want to. Michael slowly read his younger friend's texts, rubbing his eyes again when he had a bit of trouble reading them. The first three had been attempts to wake Michael up. The fourth text, though, was more important.

"hey mikey frank tld me u bought a boat lol. dnt kno y u didnt tell me but we shld go boating 2day or tomorrow. be a change from u sitting on yr fat ass all day. fishing mayhaps lolol"

Why was he so fucking worried about his weight? Jesus. Michael squinted at his phone. He quickly began typing a reply, not bothering to worry about misspelling any words.

"Oh? Alrihgt. My boat is down @ the docks right now so meet me therw at 2 . Don't be late. Also if u wanna go fishing im gonna have to buy fiahing rods unless you have some."

He hit send, his heart beating quickly. He didn't know why, but he paid no mind to it. Michael was quickly startled when Jimmy slammed open the door to his father's room. Michael jumped and dropped his phone, and it fell to the floor with a "clunk." He huffed, not bothering to get mad at his son. He was still sitting on his bed, so he leaned down to pick up his phone.

"Oh shit! Sorry dad. I was just gonna tell you that I'm, uh...going out with a friend today. So I won't be back until, like, midnight." Jimmy sounded guilty. Michael knew something was up. He arched an eyebrow at Jimmy.

"Jim, I thought you didn't have any fucking friends. Except for the ones you talk to on that goddamn video game." Michael didn't believe his son, but it'd just be best for Jimmy to just get out of the house, so Michael could go see Trevor without any questions asked.

"I'm meeting one of my friends from my game, dad. Fuck, why do you have to pry into my life so fucking much?" Jimmy rolled his eyes. Michael hadn't planned on getting mad at him because he wanted to be in a good mood when he hung out with Trevor, but he just couldn't help it when Jimmy had said that.

"Don't fucking talk to your father like that! Jesus, Jimmy, I do goddamn everything for you. Just fucking go meet your friend." Michael raised his voice. He somewhat regretted getting so mad, because his son had given him /that/ look and slammed the door without saying anything.

Michael scratched his head. He had planned to take a shower, but he really did not feel like it for some reason. He walked into the closet toward the back of the en suite and proceeded to get dressed.

Considering he and Trevor were going to be outside in the sun for hours, he put on a neon blue tropical shirt with a black tank top underneath, cargo shorts, and sandals. Trevor would probably mock him for his outfit later, Michael thought. He looked at himself in the mirror. Did he look as bad as his best friend seemingly thought he did?

Michael had gone downstairs and had breakfast, watched a movie, and laid around for awhile and it still wasn't two o'clock. He decided to leave early. Why had he been so impatient?

Michael hopped into his black tailgater. Turning on the engine, he felt a twinge of regret for not telling Trevor he'd bought the boat himself instead of letting Frank do it. Not that it was a huge problem, though.

As Michael pulled up to the parking area above the docks, he noticed that Trevor had already been there. He stumbled down the stairs, still tired from being woken up early.

Trevor chuckled when he saw his best friend looking so disheveled.

"Well hello there, sunshine! You look greaaaat." Trevor mocked. Michael rolled his eyes.

"You're the one who fucking woke me up. Do you have fishing rods?" Michael remembered that he had forgotten to buy some himself just because he didn't trust Trevor with it enough.

"Indeed I do, cupcake! I bought 'em cause I knew you wouldn't." Trevor laughed, a sarcastic tone covering his voice. Michael didn't feel like arguing with him about it.

"Jesus, aren't you fucking excited. Didn't think you liked fishing so much." Michael wondered if Trevor just wanted to spend more time with him.

"Can we just get the fuck going? I didn't come here to have a chat, Mikey." Trevor spat the words out like they were poison.

"Fuckin' hell. Chill the fuck out, Trevor. We came here to have a good fucking time so don't get all pissed on me already, okay? Damn. Let's just go." Michael was getting slightly annoyed, but it was nothing he couldn't handle, of course. He just wanted to enjoy his day. Trevor shrugged.

Without saying anything, the pair walking along the pavement until they reached Michael's boat. Trevor's eyes widened slightly.

"Woah, man. Nice. How much you pay for it? Does Amanda know?" Trevor asked genuinely. Michael wondered why his friend cared about Amanda knowing or not.

"500 thousand. And no, Amanda doesn't know. Why do you care?" He wasn't mad or anything, but it was strange for Trevor to ask something like that.

"Woah, man. 'm jokin'. Jesus." Was that a blush Michael saw? Whatever. They were wasting time bickering over nothing.

"Well then! Ladies first, amigo." Trevor grinned, gesturing towards the entrance of the boat. Michael sighed, ignoring his younger friend's fun-poking.

Michael hopped on to the platform, then climbed up the ladder into the boat. Trevor followed quickly behind him, and he may or may not have taken a look at Michael's ass as he was climbing up.

"I can drive, but do you wanna? Up to you, it doesn't really matter." Michael didn't care, but he wondered if Trevor had ever driven a boat before and that was why he'd asked.
