God is beautiful. He is omniscient, all powerful and almighty and omnibenevolent. He is personal and loves to interact with others. He establishes his message and reveals himself to people if they pursue him or if he wants to. Those who want to see God and pursue him and actually see God or God reveals himself to are called the enlightened ones. The enlightened ones turn into agents of god or "prophets" when they take this revelation that was given to them and try to communicate it to the people around them. The people give different names to the light or the God to the people around them. For example, If God shows himself to someone. That person might think it is poseidon if he was greek or might think it is jesus if he was christian. They all interpret it culturally.
The religious books that some enlightened ones write are metaphor and intend to convey the message and what God had revealed to the enlightened ones, or simply the enlightened ones sharing their experience of God through metaphors and parables. The holy texts are metaphors and parables and are not to be taken literally or else People like Jesus become plants ("I am the vine"). The books are just intended to establish communication between a personal God and humanity through a medium of the enlightened people through metaphorical means and parables.
There is an afterlife where people will be judged based on their faith in God and their sins and actions in this world.
