- Load settings from configuration instead of hardcoding them in the code
- Use Dependency Injection and fix the access modifiers(I did not pay a lot of attention to this area because I had to instantiate the objects myself in a lot of different places)
- Think about how CRUD operations will take place for the concept store, and potentially migrate the concept store to a NoSQL DB
- Think of how other services are going to interact with this service. RESTful?
- e2e testing, better unit tests
- Consider splitting different parts in this project to different services (microservices architecture)
- Better language understanding using pattern matching or NLP techniques (currently it only works for exact matching, which is not very useful)
- Think of reasonable timeout values for the components, we do not want an input to hog the service.
Testing:
LanguageUnderstandingConsoleClient can be used for running the service as a console app. The list of concepts is hard coded in the main method in Program.cs, and will run against the defined set of concepts in the code. One of the reasons the concepts are hard coded is because I did not want to go through reading from a text file on windows/mac osx, as they probably use different file path formats.
