Di tahun 522, Ninja mulai bermunculan di tanah jepang.
Ninja sendiri merupakan praktek sihir tahap dasar, dimana dahulu, tujuan utamanya adalah sebagai pembunuh bayaran yang profesional.
Adapun Ninja, terkenal dengan teknik menyelinapnya. Namun sebenarnya, tidak hanya menyelinap. Kehidupan ninja erat dengan kematian.
Oleh sebab itu, para Ninja pun harus bisa bertahan hidup, salah satunya adalah dengan menyiapkan obat bagi mereka sendiri.
Sejak itulah, ilmu meracik herbal digemari oleh para Ninja, dan menyebar ke ahli praktek sihir yang lain.
