---------------Motivation ------------ From career point of view-----
- I am already worked in Korea for over 4.5 years , i have gained very good insights about the customers in korea and asisan region. At this point of time i want to leverage that experience and bring it back to Germany

- Conti being one of largest automotive part manufacturing company has a good standing in Europe and outside europe. So I can bring a lot to the table for continental with my work experience of working in different cultures and work envirornment and especially in the manufacturing sector
- I have a very good friend working for conti in Germ.. He has give very positive feedback about the company, so this is extremely encouraging me that the company i wish to join is already recommended by a good friend of mine..

- Having worked in automotive sector before, I wish to work again in a German automotive sector and hence conti. Also I have work exp of working in large multicultural companies like Samsung, Siemens, SK etc.. so i settling down in Conti work force should be quite seamless.

---- From Personal Point of view----
- Having studied and worked in Germany before, I feel very comfortable settling back in
German work environment. I can also speak the language so it makes life a lot easier.

- Me and wife plan to stay in Germany for probably the rest of our lives, we have been married for over 3 years now and we plan to raise a family ..and we plan to do that in Europe

- We both can speak German we she is also quite familiar with German working style and culture so us to fit back in German work culture and environment is quite easy and seamless

- I have very close friends and family members staying in Germany and Austria.. So you know we already have the social circle to rely on.. we are coming into a very known environment.

- I have over 10.5 years of work experience with almost 80% of experience in the Manufacturing Industry and Industrial automation as a System Integrator. In different sectors like Solar with Solarworld AG, Automotive , Electronics, Oil and Energy and bit of it Semiconductors- But mainly in discrete manufacturing. Majority of exp in MES but also in Equipment integration and business layer intergration

--Focus on Project Leader ----
- Currently I work as Sr. IT MES consultant and PROJECT MANAGER Manufacturing Solutions project Leader with Samsung... I am the Managing of the 15-member team. ( its a group of multicultural people , distributed in diff geographic locations..). I handle both INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL PROJECTS. My work with my team involves in SCOPING OF THE PROJECT and then MARSHALING AND HANDLING RESOURCES in my team, CREATE PROJECT PLAN, PROJECT REPORTING to the higher management, Any change request that happen or conflicts that happen , resolving those conflicts and reporting them.

- I have a MESA certification for MES/MOM methodologies – So I CONSULT the production sites and line managers about the “BEST PRACTICES OF MANUFACTURING SOLUTION” according to MESA and ISA-95 standards.
Giving Demo/Workshops/Creating DOCUMENTATION about these BEST PRACTICES to different Production sites. – which involved Organizing and STRUCTURING the teams , training , CREATING USER MANUALS, ADMINISTRATION GUIDES etc.
OPTIONAL : (Eg : Following Open standards eg: B2MML using XML etc.. eg: master data management best practices. User principles of SOA, standardized B2MML, Business process mgmt and ESB for integration , Master Data managent (MDM ) )

- Consult the business departments to OPTIMIZE and IMPROVE their business process for different production plants. Also Consulting on their IT ARCHITECTURE and IMPROVING their legacy existing arch. Eg: (Trying to move MES to cloud based MES, using concepts of big-data for MES, real time analytic etc.. ) . SO i am PROJECT LEAD FOR both DOMESTIC and INTERNATIONAL Projects and ensure smooth ROLLOUT and EXECUTION of our solutions in different production sites. So this means a LOT OF TRAVELLING to DIFFERENT CUSTOMER SITES and PRODUCTION PLANTS

- One of the very important task is im responsible for STANDARDIZATION our SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE for all our global production plants. So this includes creating CONCEPTS, BUSINESS PROPOSALS, ARCHITECTURE DETAILS. The proposed solutions fits their IT landscape and business process . My efforts are concerned towards creating a harmonized multi-site solution based on a generic MES template to Integrate the MES SOLUTION across different site . SAMSUNG HAS 28 PRODUCTION SITES and they use legacy system. So migrating those legacy systems to new MES system. We have federated architecture of MES with HQ controlling all sites.

- Proving 2nd and 3rd level , SUPPORT to our customers in different Production sites. Development, Deployment and MAINTAINING the Solution which is developed by my team and rolled-out on different sites. Resolving CUSTOMER ISSUES and problems, or any new change requests that happen. So I am their SPOC or interface between Customers and Product Engineering teams or Escalation Manager for shop floor personnel and line manager. and then after i understand their problem, i route to the concerned department which is responsible to solve it. in short the entire " APPLICATION Management"

- Setting up a CLEAR COMMUNICATION CHANNEL between different departments like Product Engineering teams, Shop floor personnel using MES system, IT INFRASTRUCTURE TEAMS, Business layer which is ERP , SCM and CRM Teams. (These teams are in both internationally and locally placed ). So coordinating with them, about the current status of each project and monitoring the progress

- Technical COLLABORATION with different Subject Matter Experts, IT DEPARTMENTS of different production sites, ERP -SAP , CRM, SCM teams, OEM vendors, Suppliers to achieve the same goal. Also with production line engineers ,departments like Production team , planning teams, supply chain team, logistics and packaging team, Sales team getting their requirements and prioritizing them. I typically represent the customers , I have to think from the customers perspective and see how it benifits them and i understand their needs-
Consulting customers particularly on Vertical Integrating of MES with Business Layer, CRM, Logistics, SCM and PLM typically SAP integration, EAI (Enterprise application eg: Tibco rendevouz), BPM and BRM. CIM and EES (Equipment engineering system) applications

- One my important roles is to expand the SAMSUNG portfolio for MES, by looking at new potential industries like Steel and Rolling Mills, Solar industry and leverage the MES expertise of Samsung and Miracom products. Typically in Vertical Integration and Production Optimization ( eg : SPC, APC, Predictive maintainence etc..)

REQUIREMENT ELICITATION from the our global and local sites and implementing those changes according to the priority.Testing the MES solution in-house (different types of testing) and then final DEPLOYMENT and COMMISSIONING of SOLUTION.

- Since I have technical background I often Training the IT team about best practices eg (QA, SVN etc..)/ , releasing documents to Development teams, training manuals, coaching the Maintenance managers in the production line. SO I HAVE WORKED ON MES SOLUTIONS BASED ON C#, JAVA.. I have also worked with several databases like Oracle, MS-SQL, MYSQL, POSTGRES.

- I understand there are several divisions - This is in Automotive division and further in Powertrain , chasis , interior, engineering. This position is for which division ?
- I assume conti has several production plans – does conti already have standardized the production plants ?

As Consultant for MMS (Mixing Management System) in a growing international team in the area of Manufacturing in IT Tires you work together with all plants worldwide. Your tasks in detail:

Create architectural concepts for the company wide standardization of our Mixing Management System (MMS).
Support and coordinate development and maintenance tasks
Manage external service providers and suppliers including technical coordination
Consult business departments to optimize mixing processes in using MMS
Support in productive MMS applications, consult and execution of system improvements
Ensures communication with the IT departments (Shopfloor-MES, Quality systems, SAP systems und local plant IT), Engineering and internal customers in an international environment
Project lead for internal projects or project parts and worldwide roll outs in the plants
Define and document "Best Practices" to achieve the goals for cost and quality by the usage of MMS

Requirements

Academic degree in information technology, natural science or related fields
Several years experience in mentioned position or practical job experience as IT consultant in an industrial enterprise
Expert knowledge in project management
Intermediate database knowledge (SQL, MS SQL)
Intermediate programming skills (C#, Java, Delphi)
